10 April Bharat Band: Union Home Minister advised state, UTs to intensify security

span style="font-size:14px;">In view of Bharat Band called by some groups on April 10, the Union Home Minister has advised all the state and union territories to beef up security and take all necessary precautionary measures. The protest is going to be held against the caste-based reservations. The Minister advise this to avoid any untoward incident from taking place.
According to the sources, tomorrow's bandh was called out through the social media. Apparently to counter the April 2 bandh organised to protest alleged dilution of the SC/ST Act. The April 2 bandh had witnessed widespread violence in many stated. On that day many people lost their life. To avoid the same incidences and violence the Minister had advised to tight the security.
If necessary the home ministry advisory issued on Monday told states to issue prohibitory orders and intensify patrolling in all sensitive locations. More precaution are to be taken to prevent any loss of life or damage to the property.
The advisory stressed that district magistrates and superintendents of police be made personally responsible for ensuring that law and order situation remains firmly under control in the areas of their jurisdiction.
