New Delhi: The United Kisan Morcha, a body of more than 40 farmers' organisations that led the farmers' movement against the three agricultural laws, today called for Bharat Bandh. Not only this but it has also been decided about Bharat bandh that farmers will stage Dharna on roads and highways and there will be demonstrations in front of government offices.

Today, due to Bharat Bandh, several roads have been closed in Delhi and routes have been diverted at many places. Moreover, under the information received, protesters on the Singhu (Delhi-Haryana) border are talking to people roaming the area. Just yesterday, Bharatiya Kisan Union (BHAKIU) leader Rakesh Tikait said on Bharat Bandh that "ambulances, doctors or emergency people can go. We haven't sealed anything we just want to send a message. We appeal to shopkeepers to keep their shops closed now and open only after 4 pm. No farmer is coming here from outside.''

According to reports, farmers are currently protesting along the Ghazipur border. Traffic has been stopped due to protests here. The Delhi-Amritsar National Highway was blocked in Shahabad in Kurukshetra, Haryana, protesting against agricultural laws.
