New Delhi: As Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) observe Bharat Bandh, Congress stalwart Rahul Gandhi today extended support to the farmers protesting against the Centre's 3 new farm laws and hit out the Narendra Modi government calling it 'exploitative'.

"Farmers' non-violent satyagraha is intact even today, but this exploitative government does not like this. That's why there's a 'Bharat Band' today," the Congress leader said in a tweet that reads in Hindi.

Congress has extended its full support to the peaceful 'Bharat Bandh' and asked its worker to join the strike across the country in large numbers to extend support to the agitating farmers. The Samyukt Kisan Morcha’s call for a Bharat Bandh today has garnered support from all sections of the society, including political parties. While Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi has supported the bandh, Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav has announced that he will participate in the nationwide strike.
