THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Huge traffic jams were seen after the Congress' Bharat Jodo Yatra entered the state capital  Thiruvananthapuram on Monday, Spetember 12.

Kerala leaders of the Congress party, including Member of Parliament from the state capital, Dr. Shashi Tharoor, are accompanying Rahul Gandhi during his Bharat Jodo  Yatra in Thiruvananthapuram.

On September 8, the Congress leader set out for his trek from Kanniyakumari. The padyatra, which was launched by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K. Stalin,  has also entered into controversies.

Rahul Gandhi skipped the dedication of the Gandhi memorial in Neyyatinakara, Kerala, to pay tribute to two late Keralan Gandhians, Gopinathan Nair and K.E. Mamman. At 4 p.m., he was scheduled to dedicate the memorial. on Sunday and avoided the inauguration despite passing it, drawing harsh criticism.

K. Sudhakaran, the president of the Kerala Pradesh Congress, apologised to the event's organisers and offered to have a separate programme for it.

In response, Shashi  Tharoor such that such behaviours would damage credibility.

Sd per programme, Gandhi would meet the leader of the Vizhinjam Agitation later in the day. Notably, locals are resisting the Adani group's construction of the Vizhinjam Sea Port under the direction of the Latin Catholic Church.
Bharat Jodo Yatra is a good idea. Rahul Gandhi, though, keeps getting involved in disputes one after another. The Congress leader, who is also an MP from Wayanad, is in the state for 19 days as part of the Yatra. Today's road block will cause more harm than good.
