The next step by Bhartiya Skill Development University is to enhance students skilling level. BSDU in a revolutionary step towards skill education, practices Swiss dual system of education by blending real time industry exposure with world class equipped machinery in the university’s curriculum.  A brainchild of Dr. Rajendra Kumar Joshi and his wife, Mrs. Ursula Joshi, BSDU showcases best curriculum practices who are dedicated towards bringing about a positive transformation through skill development in Rajasthan. BSDU in its effort would like to replicate its model of empowering students through Swiss Dual System of Skill Development and giving a platform to introduce skill education in the country. In line with their efforts BSDU showcases its skilling system that is backed with international and national trainers for every skill along with world-class infrastructure, machinery and equipment.

Dr. (Brig.) Surjit Singh Pabla, President, Bhartiya Skill Development University says, “Education, vocational training and lifelong learning are the pillars of employability.  To enable employment ready workforce in future, the youth needs to be equipped with necessary skills and education. For better jobs, graduation and post-graduation is very important and the best part is now students can have a graduation degree (B.Voc) while getting trained into different skills which opens new ways and possibilities for career growth. We as BSDU is happy to take the nation on upfront to the world by enhancing the skill of youth by pre-admitting them during their studies. I would like to congratulate all the Principal for taking part in the Conclave for better future aspects and hope to see positive change in education landscape of Rajasthan.”

The objective of the Principals Summit 2019 is to help provide academic facilities by giving them practical exposure, students would be able to learn through a curriculum that is designed by industry experts, and students would receive an international platform through an interaction with Swiss trainers and senior faculty members of BSDU and would receive practical experience through Industry exposure.  Students will be oriented at the BSDU campus to be familiarized with the University. Students will also be engaged through Lectures on English, Personality Development classes and technical classes in their respective schools on weekends.

Mr. Samit Sharma, IAS, Commissioner Skills, Employment and Entrepreneurship, Government of Rajasthan says, "I am extremely glad to be here at BSDU for the Principals' Summit. After looking at the model of BSDU, I would like to suggest other ITI institutes to take inspiration from the university and grow to this level by expanding their curriculum and reach to give the students more exposure in the industry. Rajasthan Government is also planning to contribute to the ITI sector by enhancing ITI institutes for a better future."

Mr. Naveen Jain, IAS, Secretary Skills, Employment and Entrepreneurship, Government of Rajasthan says, "The scenario of ITI education needs to change. Modernization in ITI is heavily required, as it will help future industries improve to new levels and will also help creating more jobs. In my opinion, students in ITI should not stick to playing with pullis (machines) and motors, they should expand their reach to other mediums and fields. Students should keep innovating and think of new ideas so that they get good exposure in the industry. I also believe that apart from traditional studies, skill studies are also required so that students get better chances in the future."

Founded by Dr. Rajendra Joshi, BSDU is the pioneer in skill development.  He believes that perfected skills by the population of any country would lead to excellence and socio-economic development. BSDU works on a unique concept of building dual system of skills education (Swiss Dual System) where major focus is on customized practical industrial training along with theoretical knowledge.
