Bhim Army announces Bharat Bandh over Ravidas temple

New Delhi: The Bhim Army has announced a Bharat Bandh to protest against the removal of the Ravidas temple in the national capital Delhi. The National General Secretary of the Bhim Army, Kamal Singh Walia said that within 10 days, entire India will be closed if the Sant Ravidas temple is constructed and the release of Bhim Army Chief Chandrasekhar is not done. Kamal Singh Walia announced the Bharat Bandh with Chandrasekhar's Twitter handle on Saturday. In addition, Bhim Army workers submitted memorandums to officers at several places in Saharanpur.

In Delhi, 96 supporters were arrested along with Bhim Army President Chandrasekhar and National President Vinay Ratna during a protest against the removal of Sant Ravidas temple. Bhim Army Chief Chandrasekhar is currently lodged in Tihar jail. National General Secretary Kamal Singh Walia and other officials have camped in Delhi to seek bail over the release of Bhim Army Chief and activists.

On Saturday, Kamal Singh Walia from The Tweeter Handle of Bhim Army Chief Chandrasekhar said, "I am tweeting kamal Singh Walia, "If the Guru's place is not given within 10 days and all the Bhim Army chief Chandrasekhar Azad and all the comrades are not released, India will be closed." "Guru Ravidas temple did not find a place for ten days and if the Bhim Army Chandrasekhar and his supporters were not released, the Bhim Army would call 'Bharat Band'. India will be closed in a peaceful manner.
