New Delhi: Bhima Army Chief Chandrashekhar Azad has reached Delhi's Jama Masjid to take out a march against the Citizenship Amendment Act. Thousands of people have gathered with him. Chandrasekhar has announced that he will move from Jama Masjid to Jantar Mantar with a copy of the constitution against this act. At the same time, Delhi Police has not allowed Chandrashekhar to carry out this march against the citizenship law. Earlier, the police also detained a person from near the Jama Masjid. Who is said to be a member of the Bhima Army.

It is noteworthy that there were demonstrations across the country on Thursday against the Citizenship Act. Protests were also held in Delhi and hundreds of people were detained by the police. On Friday too, people are on the streets in many parts of Delhi against the Citizenship Act. Violence was also witnessed in many areas of the country during the demonstration on Thursday. Two people lost their lives in police firing in Mangaluru, Karnataka. After which curfew has been imposed in five police stations of Mangaluru.

At the same time, violence took place in many areas of Lucknow, Sambhal and Uttar Pradesh. Let us tell you that the Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019 has recently got approval from the House. The law seeks to provide citizenship to refugees from Hindu, Jain, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsi and Christian communities who have come to India from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. Most opposition parties including Congress and many social organizations are opposing the bill.
