Advocate and noted tribal rights activist Sudha Bhardwaj, accused in the Bhima Koregaon-Elgar Parishad caste violence case, has been released from Byculla jail in Mumbai today. Let me tell all of you that Sudha Bhardwaj, who has been in jail for 3 years, was granted bail by the court last Wednesday on a personal bond of 50,000 rupees. Earlier, his lawyer had requested for immediate issuance of his release order. After learning this, the court said, "They will be released after completion of the necessary verification process. Tell all of you that Bhardwaj was arrested on 28th August 2018.

According to reports, while hearing the bail plea of social activist Sudha Bhardwaj, the Bombay High Court had directed her to be released on December 1. The court had ordered the NIA Special Court to fix the conditions and dates for his release. After all this, he got bail and has now been released from jail.

On what conditions did the release from jail be:

* Sudha Bhardwaj will have to stay in Mumbai.

* They will have to appear before the court on the dates of the trial.

* Sudha Bhardwaj cannot even talk to the media about the case.

* Sudha Bhardwaj is not allowed to leave the country.

Let me also tell all of you that the Bombay High Court had on December 1 granted default bail to lawyer and social activist Sudha Bhardwaj in the 2018 Bhima Koregaon-Elgar Parishad caste violence case. The NIA had moved the Supreme Court against his bail after this happened. The NIA was shocked here as the Supreme Court had on December 7 upheld the bail of Sudha Bhardwaj while dismissing the NIA's plea. At that time, the Supreme Court had said, "There is no reason to interfere in the matter. There is no basis for interfering in the Bombay High Court verdict. The petition is dismissed. At the same time, the Supreme Court had said, "While granting bail to Sudha Bhardwaj, the High Court considered procedural lapses and delays. One of the accused is entitled to default bail, which the Bombay High Court granted to Bhardwaj after the expiry of the statutory custody period. '
