Bhopal boat accident: Fishermen's society landed on the streets against the administration's action

Bhopal: Protest has been started against the FIR lodged against 4 fishermen in the incident during Ganesh immersion in Khatlapur Ghat of Bhopal, capital of Madhya Pradesh. Fishermen led by the Manjhi Samaj of the capital Bhopal protested against the action by taking out a silent procession and also submitted a memorandum to the SDM.

The fishermen protested the action on the boat accident by taking out a procession by tying a black band on their hands from Kalighat of the small pond to the Chief Minister's residence. A large number of people from Kahar, Bhoi, Dhimar, Batham, Malha, Nishad, Manjhi and Raikwar community participated in this procession.

The procession was stopped by the police by putting barricades near Kamlapark, after which the protesting people sat on a dharna near Kamla Park and submitted their memorandum to the SDM and demanded the removal of the Bhopal Collector along with Durga immersion to the fishermen society.

In this procession, Nitin Batham, who saved the lives of 6 people, also participated in the boat accident. Nitin opposed the action taken against the 4 people in the accident and said that he will return both the respect and the amount of respect received by the administration for the society because wrong actions have been taken against the people of the society. He was not at fault in the accident.
