Bhubaneswar-Jaipur direct flight services to start from November 2

Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia in a statement said that direct flight services between Odisha’s Bhubaneswar and Rajasthan’s Jaipur will fly from November 2. 

In a  letter written to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan Scindia said IndiGo airline will operate 3 flights in a week on the Bhubaneswar-Jaipur route. The statement made by the Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia reads as follows: -

"I hope that the connectivity between Temple City, Bhubaneswar and Pink City, Jaipur would not only enhance tourist footfall but would also provide a boost to economic activities in both the states". Scindia said Indigo's direct flight services will be thrice a week from November 2 for which the Odisha government has extended initial incentives to the airline for commencement on the referred routes.  The Odisha government has been demanding flight services on the route to attract tourists to the eastern state.

It was on September 17, that Dharmendra Pradhan had written to Scindia, seeking his intervention to commence flight services between the two cities.
