Bhumi Pednekar says she wants to make films that accurately depict women, and she is grateful to the filmmakers with whom she has worked because they share her goal for societal change. Bhumi began her Bollywood career in 2015 with the blockbuster film 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha.' She went on to star in films like 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha,' 'Son Chiriya,' 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan,' 'Bala,' and 'Sandh Ki Aankh.'

The actress is currently anticipating her next films, which include 'Mr. Lele,' 'Badhaai Do,' and 'Raksha Bandhan,' among others. The actress says: "I've always been secure in my film selections. I've always wanted them to be unusual and one-of-a-kind, preferably with a message, and, most importantly, accurately portray women."

Bhumi continued: "As a woman, I believe it is my responsibility to select screenplays that represent women with respect. I'm grateful for the opportunity to play such characters as a result of the wonderful scripts that have come my way."

The actress considers herself "very lucky" to have worked with filmmakers who shared her idea of showing women in a positive way. She stated, " "I'm grateful for all the chances that have given me the chance to play people that have spoken up for themselves and society. I had a stronger connection with my characters, which may explain why they were so popular."

"I owe that to my filmmakers and producers, who recognized me as capable of portraying modern Indian women on television."
