Bollywood Actress Bhumika Chawla has turned 41. She got a lot of recognition from the Bollywood hit film Tere Naam. Today on this special day we're going to tell you some special things. How did she make a mark in Bollywood? Bhumika was born on August 21, 1978, in a Punjabi family in New Delhi. Her father has been an army officer and mother was a teacher.

Bhumika completed her studies in Delhi. Then she came to Mumbai in 1997 to become an actress. After coming to Mumbai, Bhumika had the opportunity to work in some ad films. Bhumika began her film career with the Telugu film industry.

The Telugu film,  Yuvakudu released in 2000, was the first film of the actress. It was followed by the release of her second film, Khushi, in 2001, which achieved box office success. Chawla was awarded the Best Actress Film Fare Award for the film. Bhumika then worked in several South Indian films.

After South, Bhumika got a chance to debut in Bollywood. In 2003, she debuted from the film Tere Naam, with Salman Khan. The film was quite a hit but also gave a new flight to her career.

After the success of Tere Naam, Chawla worked in some films like Run, Dil Ne Jise Apna Kaha, Family, Silsiley, Gandhi My Father, but all these films did not prove to be a hit at the box office. Moreover, Bhumika is not active in Bollywood these days, but she still retains her style in South Indian films.
