New Delhi: Political turmoil continues in Rajasthan Congress. Former deputy CM of the state Sachin Pilot and Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel have reached Congress president Sonia Gandhi amidst the ongoing political agitation in Delhi regarding Rajasthan. She is said to be brainstorming on Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. CM Ashok Gehlot also met Sonia Gandhi on Thursday on cabinet expansion in the state.

Congress has made CM Bhupesh Baghel a senior observer of the party in UP elections. In such a situation, he has an important responsibility of coordinating with the electoral machinery of the organization and the party. CM Baghel has gone to Uttar Pradesh, four times in the last month. The meeting would also reportedly discuss the possibility of a pre-election alliance. Baghel first reached 10 Janpath on Friday morning and met the first Congress General Secretary and the party's face in UP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra

With Sachin Pilot and CM Ashok Gehlot's visit to Delhi and meeting the high command, speculation has once again intensified over the long-proposed cabinet expansion and political appointments in Rajasthan. It is being reported that a decision on cabinet expansion and reshuffle in Rajasthan will also be taken soon. On December 17, the Gehlot government will complete its three-year term. The party's pull is believed to be the biggest reason behind the lack of cabinet expansion or reshuffle in these three years.
