Hindi cinema's famous singer Bhupen Hazarika was born on September 8. Bhupen won the hearts of his fans by giving his beautiful voice to many songs. Hindi, Bhupen Hazarika has also been awarded Bharat Ratna recently for his outstanding contribution to cinema and music. Bhupen Hazarika may not be among us anymore but his love story has always been in the news. Let us tell you that from an early age, he was fond of music and literature in addition to studies. He sang for the first time for All India Radio in Assam at the age of 11.

According to media reports, the legendary Bollywood music industry actor has given more than one piece. His songs sung in the 1993 movie Rudali, Betain Na Betain Na Raina, were well received by the audience. Even after Bhupen passed away, the song is still on the lips of the people.  The song is appending to his reputation in other countries as well. It was then that Bhupen was once standing in line at Frankfurt Airport. Then a Pak man worshipped him as to whether he was Bhupen Hazarika. In response, he nodded and greeted him.

Bhupen's love story is very different. Bhupen was married but his love for Bollywood's famous director Kalpana Lajmi was so confined that she has not stopped loving him till she dies. Kalpana herself wrote in her book 'I fell in love with him. And this love was such that I kept it in my eyes for 40 years.'
