Ahmedabad: Veteran BJP leader Bhupendra Patel has been sworn in as the new CM of Gujarat. State Governor Acharya Devvrat has sworn in Bhupendra Patel as CM of Gujarat. Bhupendra Patel has been sworn in as the 17th Chief Minister of Gujarat. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Goa CM Pramod Sawant and Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar are present at Bhupendra Patel's swearing-in ceremony.

Amit Shah congratulated Bhupendra Patel after he was sworn in as CM. Cm Shivraj Singh, CM Manohar Lal Khattar also congratulated the new Chief Minister of Gujarat by giving a bouquet. Earlier on Monday, when reporters asked Nitin Patel, who was leading in the race for the CM post if he was upset with the party's decision to elect Bhupendra Patel as the next CM, Patel said, "Not at all. Nitin Patel said he has been associated with the party since the time of Jan Sangh since the age of 18 and said he will continue with the party. Nitin Patel further said, 'It is not a big deal for me whether I get a post or not. For me, the love and respect of the people matter. We are all siblings. Whatever has been chosen as the next CM is our own and we will continue to work together.'
