Lucknow: A major road accident has been reported from Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh. A speeding double-decker bus overturned near Katghara Kalan village on Bahraich-Karnailganj road here. More than half a dozen people were injured in the accident. The injured driver was brought to a private clinic, and the doctor treated him and discharged him.

It is being told that three double-decker buses being run on Bahraich-Karnailganj road of Ranipur police station were coming from Delhi towards Huzurpur at around 9 am. However, the three buses were far away from each other. According to eyewitnesses, the speed of the buses was very high. A black bull suddenly came in front of the double-decker bus coming to the forefront near Katghara Kalan village.  

The bus overturned uncontrollably while trying to save him. About half a dozen passengers, including the driver, were injured. As soon as the accident took place, both the buses coming behind stopped. The injured driver, 35-year-old Anees, son of Razzaq, a resident of Jignia Mahipal Singh of Ranipur police station, was rushed to a private clinic and treated. The doctors discharged the driver and the family has taken him home. Police are currently investigating the case.
