New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is all set to crack down on online child sexual pornography. The CBI started raids on Saturday (September 24) to catch those involved in such activities and collect shreds of evidence. According to the information, the CBI is raiding at least 56 locations in 20 states.

According to the CBI, many such gangs have been formed, which not only do child sexual pornography but also physically blackmail children through it. The raids are aimed at cloud storage services, which criminals use to circulate audio-visuals of illegal sexual activities with children. The code name of this CBI raid has been kept as 'Operation Meghdoot'.

The gangs involved in such misdeeds work in two ways, first - by forming groups and second individually. The CBI had received inputs of the case from Singapore through Interpol, after which the raids are being conducted in India. Let us know that on November 16 last year, the CBI had run 'Operation Carbon' on the information of Interpol, this is also a follow-up to the same operation.
