BigBasket, India's leading online grocery platform, will hire 10,000 people for its warehouses and goods delivery. Actually, BigBasket wants the delivery of its earlier order in lockdown as soon as possible and the new order can also be delivered immediately. The online grocery platform Growers is also hiring 10,000 people.

Regarding this plan, BigBasket Vice President Tanuja Tiwari said, 'We want to appoint 10,000 people for the delivery of our warehouses and goods. This hiring will be in all 26 cities where we serve. He also said that there is pressure on work in all cities, because the challenges are greater in Tier I cities.

For your information, let us tell you that due to 21 days lockdown in the country, e-commerce companies are having difficulty in placing orders. At the same time, the government has allowed the delivery of essential goods, including food pharmaceuticals and medical equipment, through e-commerce platforms, but, the delivery staff of the companies continue to receive complaints of harassment by the police. The work of e-commerce companies is being hampered by local authorities closing down warehouses and preventing trucks from going out of state borders.
