Central Government announces 1 lakh portable oxygen concentraters to be purchased from PM Cares Fund

New Delhi: The corona epidemic has created a lot of panic all over the world, the number of people infected is increasing day by day, and the central government has taken a big decision. It has stipulated that one lakh portable oxygen concentrators will be purchased from PM cares fund. At the same time, PM cares fund will also be used to set up 500 new pressure swing acquisition oxygen plants.

This has been decided after a high-level meeting held by Prime Minister Modi. The meeting discussed the problems being faced in medical oxygen supply. Prime Minister Modi has directed the officials present in the meeting to procure oxygen concentrators at the earliest and hand them over to the state governments. These oxygen concentrators will be taken first to those regions where corona cases are more.

Earlier, the PM Cares Fund had asked for setting up of 713 new pressure swing acquisition oxygen plants. These oxygen plants are to be set up at the district level. The PM Cares Fund will prepare DRDO for the new 500 oxygen plants that have been talked about. Portable Oxygen Concentrators, new PSA oxygen plant will increase the availability of oxygen especially in district headquarters, small towns.
