Big Music Artists Slams Saying 'Corrupt' Grammys After 2021 Nominations

The Recording Academy gets slammed by the big personalities of the music industry. The Academy announced the Grammys 2021 nominations on November 24 and the list only features Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, BTS, and Roddy Ricch.

 

Soon after the nominations, were declared for the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards several singers slammed for the snub and categorization of their works. The Weeknd also wasn't so impressed with the announcement and took to his Twitter account. While the fans of the respective artists celebrated to their wholeThe singer Weeknd was among the biggest snubs at the award show this year. His album After Hours and his songs Blinding Lights and Heartless were among the biggest hits of the year but weren't recognized by the Grammys. Leading to Twitter the snub called out the awards show “The Grammys remain corrupt,” also adding that they owe everyone some "transparency". 

While The Weeknd expressed his disappointment, Justin Bieber also took to his social media account and issued a statement about his nomination. The singer has been nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Country Duo/Group Performance. The singer issued a statement which reads, "I am flattered to be acknowledged and appreciated for my artistry. I am very meticulous and intentional about my music. With that being said, I set out to make an R&B album....the way down to the hip-hop drums that were chosen, it is undeniably, unmistakably an R&B album!"
