New Delhi: Ahead of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi elections, the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) has carried out major proceedings. The Delhi ACB has arrested three persons, including AAP MLA's brother-in-law and PA, for allegedly selling a councillor's ticket by taking money. After the arrest, the police are now trying to find out whether money was taken from more such people.

The case pertains to a woman AAP worker. According to the ACB, the woman was asked for Rs 90 lakh in the name of getting a councillor ticket. The arrested criminals include Om Singh, brother-in-law of AAP MLA from Model Town Akhileshpati Tripathi, PA Vishal Pandey and another criminal Prince Raghuvanshi. The incident took place in ward number 69 of Kamla Nagar. Here AAP worker Shobha Khari demanded a councillor's ticket from AAP. Shobha alleged that MLA Akhilesh Pati Tripathi had demanded Rs 90 lakh in exchange for getting a ticket. The complainant said she had paid Rs 35 lakh as a bribe to Akhileshpati Tripathi and Rs 20 lakh to Wazirpur MLA Rajesh Gupta.

According to Shobha, according to the fixed deal, the remaining Rs 35 lakh was to be paid after the name appeared in the list. After the release of the list, when Shobha's name did not appear in the list, she complained about this to Om Singh, brother-in-law of MLA Akhileshpati Tripathi. He said to return the money. The complainant later complained to the ACB and also provided the recorded video to the agency while giving a bribe as evidence. After receiving the complaint, the ACB laid a trap. On the night of November 15, Om Singh along with his accomplices Shivshankar Pandey and Prince Raghuvanshi reached the complainant's house with Rs 33 lakh of bribe. Here the ACB arrested the three red-handed with cash in the presence of an independent witness.
