Dehradun: A major step has been taken as the crowd of pilgrims on the Char Dham Yatra is increasing, in which the police can now stop devotees without registration. This has been decided in view of the problems being faced by crowd control there. This is mostly taking place in Kedarnath Dham. The above was stated by DGP Ashok Kumar somewhere. He also appealed to the devotees who come here to come for darshan only after registering.

Both registered and unregistered devotees are arriving at all the Dhams. There is no arrangement for registration checking in the four Dhams as of now. The Government has also not issued any such instructions. In such a situation, the police are facing problems in controlling the crowd in Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham.
