New Delhi: National capital Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal has got a big relief from Punjab's Bathinda court in a defamation case. In fact, the court has dismissed the defamation case filed by former Punjab Congress leader Jaijeet Singh Johal.

In this case, Jaijeet Singh Johal had argued that he is famous by the name 'Jojo'. Kejriwal had said during a meeting in Bathinda that people would be freed from the 'Jojo' tax. Because of this, his image has been defamed. Johal had filed the case in the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrates in Bathinda. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal commented on Jaijeet Johal in a meeting with traders in Bathinda on 29 October 2021. 

CM Kejriwal had said that after the 2022 assembly elections if the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government is formed in Punjab, he would end the 'Jojo tax'. Johal had announced on the same day that he would file a defamation case against Kejriwal. Johal had alleged that Kejriwal made absurd statements to damage his political image.
