New Delhi: The Vice Chief of The Army Staff, Lt Gen B S Raju has said that the scheme has been well thought out and if it requires any changes, it will be done in the next 4-5 years. Let us know that the Army has issued a notification for compulsory online registration of all Agneepath job candidates.

Later in an interview, B S Raju said, "Agneepath scheme is a pilot project. This scheme marks a major change in recruitment to the armed forces and everyone needs to adapt to this change. Let me tell you that, there have been violent protests from many parts of the country against the Agneepath scheme. The youths who have been waiting to join the army since 2020 are very angry with the scheme that came after two years. However, the government has increased the age of applicants from 21 years to 23 years.

At the same time, Lt. Raju has said, "The method of new recruitment, the percentage of extension of recruitment or anything of any such nature related to recruitment, which needs to be amended, will be done after four to five years." Once we have proper data, it will be easier for us. Right now we have a policy, which has been well brainstormed and which we are implementing. ”
