Raipur: In Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district, the police has achieved a great success. In Dantewada district, 2 Naxalites have been killed in an encounter between DRG jawans and Naxalites in the jungles of Gumiyapal in Kirandul police station area of Madakami Ras. There was reward of Rs. 5 lakh each on the Naxalite. The slain naxals include a woman and a male Naxalite.

Police have also arrested another woman Naxalite. It is worth mentioning that the two slain Naxalites are said to be members of the Malangar Area Committee. Dantewada Superintendent of Police Abhishek Pallav said, "Drg jawans were on a search operation in the morning and the Naxals opened fire on the jawans near Guniyapal forest. The troops also retaliated and killed two Naxals. The dead naxals have been identified as Deva and Muya.
