Ghazipur: A major train accident has been averted in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. Here the Howrah-Amritsar-Punjab Mail passed through a broken track. The villagers first reported it to the Gangman, after which the train was stopped soon. The Punjab Mail (3005) train from Howrah to Amritsar passed halfway through the broken track near Zamania in the Ghazipur district at the DDU Junction Buxar route.
The rural boys had already seen the broken rail track, which was also reported to the Gangman. Gangman and boys tried to stop the train by showing red flags, but many coaches of the train passed through the broken track. About 3 km before the Zamania railway station in Ghazipur, several railway tracks were broken near Gadhin village.
Naseem, a local youth, said that when they were passing by, their eyes fell on the broken track. After that, the Gangman present at some distance was informed. By the time the Gangmen reached the spot, Punjab mail was coming from Buxar. The train was in full speed. The Gangman flashed a red flag, but the train stopped and started crossing the broken track. After that, the Gangmen and the boys shouted and stopped the train.
