Lucknow: Samajwadi Party founder and former CM Mulayam Singh Yadav's younger daughter-in-law Aparna Yadav today joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday. According to reports, Aparna Yadav has suppressed the BJP around 10.30 am. She had reached the BJP headquarters early in the morning for this. Party UP unit chief Swatanter Dev Singh has got him to join the BJP.

Tell me, Aparna Yadav is the wife of Pratik Yadav, son of Mulayam Singh's second wife Sadhana Gupta. Aparna Yadav contested the 2017 election from The Cantt assembly seat in Lucknow. Aparna, who contested on a Samajwadi Party (SP) ticket, lost to BJP candidate Rita Bahuguna Joshi. However, Aparna had secured about 63,000 votes. On the other hand, the seat fell vacant after Rita Bahuguna Joshi became an MP, which was by-election held in 2019 in which it was the BJP that won and Suresh Chand Tiwari became the MLA for the fourth time.

Tell me Rita Bahuguna is asking for a ticket for her son from this seat. There is also talk that there are some other contenders from this seat. According to sources, the BJP wants to change Aparna's seat but agrees to contest the election.
