Patna: Five persons have been killed in Nalanda, Bihar after consuming poisonous liquor. The victim's family members claimed that all of them died due to consumption of poisonous liquor. The incident took place in Chhoti Pahari and Pahar Talli Mohalla in Sohsarai police station area of Nalanda district. The condition of 3 persons is still critical. All are undergoing treatment in a private clinic. Family members said that the drinking of alcohol suddenly deteriorated and everyone died. According to reports, the police administration is investigating the case.

After suresh prasad, the DSP, Dr. Shibli Nomani reached the spot and took information from the family members. Locals have said that chulai liquor is being made in the surrounding areas. Two persons were also killed in a suspicious condition in Hargawa village of Manpura police station area.

Bihar Government is constantly working to make the prohibition law effective. The Government is continuously taking action against liquor smugglers and liquor drinkers. Police are continuously arresting liquor smugglers. On the other hand, the Supreme Court has expressed strong displeasure over the bihar government's cases on the rise due to prohibition law. According to media reports, a bench headed by Chief Justice CJI NV Ramana while hearing cases related to liquor smuggling in Bihar lashed out at the Bihar government and said the cases have choked the courts.
