Patna: A big accident has happened in Bihar today. Five people have died due to drowning in a pond in Chakia police station area under East Champaran district of the state. All of them arrived to attend the funeral of a person. According to the information given by the police, Krishna Thakur, a resident of Phulwaria village under Nagar Panchayat area, was killed on Wednesday, due to which people of the village came to attend his funeral.

Five people went into the deep water of the pond while taking bath after the funeral, killing all the people. While giving information about the case on Thursday, the police station in-charge of Chakia said that all the bodies have been recovered from the pond on Thursday with the help of NDRF. They said the victims have been identified as 17-year-old Deepak Kumar, 15-year-old Ravi Kumar, 10-year-old Ashik Kumar, 12-year-old Parvez Kumar and 12-year-old Vishal Kumar.

He further informed that all the dead bodies have been taken and taken to Motihari Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. There has been mourning in the entire village since this incident.
