Lucknow: Out of Paharpur Khurd village in Kasganj district of Uttar Pradesh, in-laws beat a young man and sprinkled petrol, and burnt him alive. The accused escaped leaving the young man outside his house in critical condition. The injured youth died on Sunday morning while undergoing treatment in a private hospital. Police have conducted post mortem of the corpse.

On the complaint of the father of the deceased in the case, the police have filed a report against the four nominees, including the wife, father-in-law. The police have taken one of the accused into custody. The deceased was in a fight with his wife. Suresh Chandra, a resident of Paharpur Khurd, said in a report lodged at Soron Kotwali that his 25-year-old son was at his house at 6:30 pm on Saturday. Then Hemant of the village called him and took him to Amit's in-laws working on a brick kiln outside the village. Here Rakesh, Hemant, his wife Sangeeta, father-in-law Ramswaroop beat his son Amit with sticks and then sprayed petrol and set him on fire.

In a critical condition, the accused escaped by putting Amit on the bed and leaving him outside the house. Amit was referred to Soron CHC in critical condition. At around 7 am on Sunday morning, Amit succumbed while undergoing treatment in a private hospital. In this case, the police have conducted a post-mortem of the body. The police have registered a case against all the accused named and started the action.
