Lakhisarai: Fed up with an alcoholic husband, the wife along with her two daughters beat her husband to death on Saturday night in Kiranpur village under Medni Chowki police station area of Lakhisarai district of Bihar. The deceased has been identified as Sanjay Kumar Patel. Police have taken the body to the hospital for a post-mortem on Sunday morning. Wife Rinki Devi has been taken into custody in this case.

According to the villagers, on Saturday evening, Sanjay Kumar Patel arrived home in drunk condition. Meanwhile, wife Rinku Devi, daughter Gunjan Kumari and Anjali Kumari were cleaning the house for Diwali. The husband had a dispute with his wife. After this, a fight started between the two. Meanwhile, wife and two daughters together hit Sanjay Kumar Patel with bricks and stones, which killed him. The woman and her daughters tried to hide the dead body at night, but could not succeed. Leaving the dead body there, they slept inside the house. Sanjay Kumar Patel has already served a jail sentence on alcohol consumption. On Saturday, a complaint was made in the Bihar State Excise Control Room about Sanjay's liquor etc. On information, the apprentice of Medni Chowki police station, Mamta Kumari, along with the police force, went to Kiranpur village to find Sanjay but failed. On Sunday morning, people of the neighbourhood saw Sanjay's body.

After this, the deceased's brother Ajay Kumar gave information about this to Medni Chowki Police Station Rubikant Kachhap over the phone. Police reached and sent the corpse for postmortem. SDPO Ranjan Kumar also reached and investigated the case. He told that Sanjay has been killed by his wife. An application for filing a case has not been received.
