Famous actress Anushka Sharma and Cricketer Virat Kohli have donated an undisclosed amount to three organizations working in relief and rehabilitation in Bihar and Assam. Where thousands of families have been affected by the recent floods. Both have shared a note about it on their respective Instagram accounts.
It reads, 'While our country is fighting the COVID-19 epidemic, people in Assam and Bihar are suffering due to severe floods. This has affected so many families and livelihoods. While we pray for the people of Assam and Bihar. Virat and I have pledged to help the needy people by supporting three organizations that have done credible work in flood relief and welfare. You should also come forward and help these organizations so that support can be reached to these states."
Both of them have donated to the three organizations Rapid Response, Action Aid and Gunj. They have also shared links of the three organizations working for the welfare of the people affected by the recent floods. Earlier this week, actress Priyanka Chopra and husband Nick Jonas also donated for flood relief and rehabilitation work in Bihar and Assam. And this help has brought great relief to the flood victims.
