PATNA: The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Left party leaders protested against the Central government on issue of the Agnipath scheme at the first day of the Monsoon Session in the Bihar Assembly on Friday.

"The leaders of all party will pass a proposal against the Agnipath scheme and send it to the Narendra Modi government," said Bhai Virendra, the senior RJD leader and principal spokesperson.

"The prospects of the youth are becoming darker due to the arbitrary nature of the Narendra Modi government," said Mahboob Alam, an MLA from the Left party. The country's youth need to have a bright future. "The youth are under strain due to the Center's restrictive practises. They were demonstrating for their future, but the Centre put pressure on states like Bihar, which has a JD(U)-BJP coalition government, to put an end to the agitation.

"They were agitating for their future, but the Central govt  has applied pressure on states such as  Bihar having JD(U)-BJP combine government to suppress the agitation.

They believe that the protests against the Agnipath proposal have come to an end, but I want to assert that they have just begun," Alam said.
