Patna: The brother-in-law attempted to force a late-night relationship with the sister-in-law who was sleeping at home when the sister-in-law refused, the brother-in-law attacked the sister-in-law with a knife. This case has come up from the Katoria block of Banka district of Bihar. The injured victim is currently undergoing treatment at the Katoria Referral Hospital, while the accused brother-in-law escape.

An FIR has been lodged in the Katoria police station on the victim's statement. The police is searching for the accused to arrest him. According to media reports, the victim's husband works in Kolkata. The victim lives in Banka with her 14-year-old son. While she was sleeping at home late on Friday night, her brother-in-law Tripurari Yadav entered the house and trying to rape her.

The sleeping girl woke up from the brother-in-law's touch. He forcibly attempted to have an illicit relationship. On refusal by the victim, the brother-in-law severely injured the victim with a sharp knife. The accused hit three times around the victim's chest and three in the face. Police is currently searching for the accused.
