Bettiah: A case of beating of two youths came to light after a rumour of child thief broke out in Pipra village under Maldaiah Panchayat of Narkatiaganj, Bihar. During this time, the police who came to save the youth from the crowd, has also been attacked. Three policemen, even ASI, have to save their lives by hiding in the house.

While the crowd was trying to take them out, a police force has somehow reached the police station with the youth. At the same time, three policemen remain hostage at Shanti Chowk in Bettiah district. Another police team has reached the spot after getting information and is trying to evacuate them. The youth, who was beaten up in the rumour of a child thief, is said to be a resident of Ramnagar and is a dom from Jati who came to the village to sell goods.

On the other hand, eyewitnesses have said that the mob has beaten both the youths to bewilderment. Giving information about the case, the Betia Superintendent of Police said that legal action will be taken against those who have taken up the law by registering an FIR. At present, the youth is being told out of danger. At the same time, the police is engaged in the investigation of the case.
