Bettiah: The couple was fatally attacked by a man in a minor dispute over corn theft in Bettiah, Bihar. Both husband and wife have been badly injured. The incident took place at Jauktia Panchayat Ward 15 Gachuli Tola in Majulia police station area. Seema Devi and her husband Bhushan Patel were reportedly attacked and badly injured by a group in the village for resisting the theft of maize. The seriously injured woman was then admitted to the Majulia PHC for treatment. Meanwhile, police have registered a case against half a dozen people in the case on the statement of the victim and are investigating the case.

The woman said, "Ratnaesh Patel, Deepu Patel, Raj Kumar Patel, Amar Pati Devi, Koshila Devi were beaten to death in the village for refusing to steal the corn. At the same time, the victim said that Ratnaesh Patel attacked my head with a sickle. It cut off the head and started bleeding. On the other hand, when my husband came to the rescue after the attack, he was also injured'. The police are investigating the case and are giving a tip-off for the arrest of the accused.
