Bhagalpur: A boat full of passengers has overturned in the Ganges river in Bihar. This accident happened near Gopalpur Tirtanga Ship Ghat in Navagachiya. According to the information received, more than fifty people were aboard the boat. However, with the help of local people, thirty people have been saved from drowning and they have been safely evacuated from the river. Meanwhile, the body of a woman has been recovered, but still, 15 to 20 people are said to be missing. The search is on for other people from the local seafarers.

It is being told that the workers and farmers were going on a private boat to sow diara (river bank area) at the Tirtanga Diara Ship Ghat in Gopalpur police station area of Navagachia Police District. However, the boat overturned and started sinking due to having more passengers. In the hurry, many people jumped and saved their lives, many were taken out with the help of local people and sailors. Although many people are still said to be missing.

This accident happened near the Tirtanga Ghat. More than fifty people are said to be aboard on the boat. More than thirty people were evacuated after the boat accident. The corpse of a woman was taken out. Those removed from the water have been admitted for treatment at the Community Health Center Gopalpur. Several police officers including several top officials of the administration have reached the spot and with the help of the seafarers, the process of finding the missing people is going on.
