Patna: RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav yesterday claimed that his party's success in the bypolls to two assembly seats in Bihar will create political turmoil in the state where NDA is running the government with a weak majority. Leader of opposition in the state assembly Tejashwi said this while campaigning for RJD candidate in Tarapur assembly constituency of Munger district.

Addressing the same election rally, Yadav said that if we win here (Tarapur) and Kusheshwar Asthan, you can see Khela in a few months. Apparently, his signal was towards Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress slogan 'Khela Hobe' in the high-voltage assembly elections held in West Bengal a few months ago. Last year, the RJD had won 75 seats in the assembly elections, one more than the BJP, and much higher than CM Nitish Kumar's JD(U) which could win only 50 seats.

However, in the 243-member Assembly, NDA got a low majority. The RJD-led grand alliance, which included the Congress and the Left parties, was about 10 seats away from the magic majority figure. For this, he alleged manipulation of seats. Tejashwi Yadav, who was deputy CM of the state, targeted the Nitish Kumar government for the death of JD(U) MLA Mewa Lal Chaudhary, whose death is leading to bypolls in Tarapur.
