Patna: The lockdown in Bihar has been announced to be lifted. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar tweeted this information. He tweeted that lockdown has reduced corona cases in the state. He also said that even though the lockdown is being lifted, the night curfew will continue.

CM Nitish said the new system will remain in force for a week for the time being. According to the new guideline, there will now be night curfew in Bihar from 7 pm to 5 am. Government and private offices will be opened with a capacity of 50 per cent. However, it can be opened only by 4 pm. Shops will now be open till 5 pm. Nitish Kumar also said that teaching work can be done online now. Private vehicles will be allowed to ply there. CM Nitish said there is still a need to avoid congestion to eliminate corona. Earlier, the State Government had extended the lockdown period in Bihar till 8th June on 31st May.

In view of the increasing number of cases of infection in the state, it was decided to impose a lockdown from 5th to 15th May at the Disaster Management Group meeting held on 4th May under the Chairmanship of the Chief Minister. It was later extended to May 25 and then to May 31.
