Patna: CM Nitish Kumar has given a big statement on the death sentence of 9 people in the case of death of 19 people by drinking poisonous liquor in Khajurbani of Gopalganj, Bihar. He said that this would be a lesson to those who messed up. A message will go and people will abstain from making a mess.

After the TPS college program, CM Nitish Kumar, while talking to the media, said that the police and the excise department's top officials are monitoring it every day regarding the prohibition law. Whoever messes up is acted upon. On Friday, nine out of 13 convicts were sentenced to death and four women were sentenced to life imprisonment in the famous Khajurbani poisonous liquor case of Gopalganj district of the state. The court of ADG-2 cum Special Judge (Product) Lavkush Kumar has also sentenced the four women to life imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 10 lakh each.

In the famous Khajurbani poisonous liquor case of Bihar, in the case that lasted for almost four and a half years, seven witnesses from the prosecution and one from the defense side testified. On February 26, 13 out of 14 people were convicted. An accused Eclipse Pasi has already died. For the first time in Bihar, a court has sentenced him to death in the Khajurbani poisonous liquor scandal. Earlier, the accused have been sentenced to maximum life imprisonment in case of recovery of liquor in various districts.
