Patna: The grand alliance of the opposition in Bihar has been broken. Here, Congress has announced to contest all the 40 seats alone in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The announcement was made by Bhakta Charan Das, who is in charge of the Bihar congress. He has also blamed Lalu Prasad Yadav's party Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) for the break-up in the grand alliance.

In Bihar, Congress, RJD and Left parties had formed a grand alliance before last year's assembly elections. In fact, everything was not going well in the RJD and the Congress for the past few days. The reason is by-elections to two assembly seats in Bihar. In fact, by-elections to Tarapur and Kusheshwarsthan assembly seats are due. The RJD had announced candidates in these seats. The Congress then announced to field its candidates from both seats.

Bihar Congress in-charge Bhakta Charan Das had then attacked Lalu Yadav's party RJD. He had alleged that the RJD had left the Congress because of an agreement with the BJP and the RJD and BJP could form an alliance after the bypoll. On this, the RJD had said that the State President of the Congress does not have a terrain understanding of the state of Bihar.
