Bihar Police sentenced two women to death for murdering a 4-year-old boy

Patna: In Gopalganj after the defeat, a case has come to light, hoping for justice. The court sentenced two women to death, who killed 4-year-old innocent 3 years ago. Dev the four-year-old son of Vinod, resident of Chitowna village under Vijayapuram police station of Gopalganj, was playing near the door of his house at around 2 am on 5 September 2017.

A woman from Chitowna village approached the child and called him from the door and took him on the pretext of giving him ice cream. When the innocent did not return home for a long time, family members started looking for him. Even after searching for hours, Dev was not found anywhere. The next day of the incident, the body of an innocent child was found in the rear of Vinod Sah's house. After getting the information about the incident, the police reached the spot and found a knife with blood near the dead body. In this case, an FIR was lodged at Vijayaipur police station on the statement of Vinod Sah, in which Durgavati Devi, wife of Sarju Sah and his daughter-in-law Sunakesha Devi were named as killers of the innocent.

After the FIR was registered, the police, taking swift action, arrested both the accused and sent them behind bars. After the charge sheet in this criminal case, the trial started in the Sessions Court. On the basis of the evidence presented during the hearing, the bench of IV Additional District and Sessions Judge Lavkush Kumar found both the accused women guilty for the incident and sentenced them to death.
