Siwan: In Bihar, criminals have become so enthralled that thieves are no longer afraid of the police. Recent example has also come from Siwan district of the state. In Lawari village under Siswan police station in Siwan district, masked dacoits looted lakhs of jewellery and forty thousand cash from the house of a Bihar police constable.

The victim said in his complaint that at around 12 o'clock in the night, two dozen armed dacoits entered their house using the roof and demanded jewellery and money from the women of the house on the strength of the weapon. When the women protested, they were beaten up by the miscreants. The dacoits broke the cupboard and looted jewellery and 40,000 rupees. The price of jewellery has been pegged at about five lakh.

On the other hand, Siswan Thana Chief Rambalak Yadav reached the spot and got information from the victim's family. He said, the dacoits are being identified and the culprits will be arrested soon and the incident of dacoity, including the Baghuna dacoity case, will be revealed.
