Patna: The first phase of voting has started for the Assembly elections in Bihar. Today the press conference of the grand alliance was also called in Patna and many things happened during this time. Speaking to the media at the press conference, the Congress party raised the issue of shooting incident in Munger during immersion of the idol of Goddess Durga. During this, Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said, 'Today the Prime Minister is coming to Bihar. He is appealed to immediately sack this government which fired on Goddess Durga.'

During this time, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav was also involved. He condemned the Munger incident and said, 'It is clear from the video clip what was the attitude of the police. Why the police did lathi charge? Why did you shoot? '

Apart from this, Tejashwi Yadav said, 'Police was searching and beating people. The video clip is heart-wrenching. No one understood the attitude of the police. This clearly shows that the government with the double engine has played a role in this'. Further, Tejashwi also said, 'Who gave the Munger Police permission to become General Dyer? In Munger, the youth were surrounded and beaten by police and showered sticks on innocent people. The Bihar government should tell who allowed the police to brutally run lathis. Tejashwi has demanded an inquiry into the incident by a retired judge.
