Imam killed in Madarsa blast, police still investigating the case

In Bihar, a massive explosion has been reported near a madarsa in Banka. The explosion was so loud that the entire madrassa building was completely destroyed. Though senior police officials rushed to the spot as soon as the incident was reported, no information has been received so far about the reason behind the blast.  A lot of things are being said about the blast but the police are yet to make anything clear. According to police information, a massive explosion took place near a madarsa in Navtolia police station area of Banka on Tuesday morning. The explosion was so loud that the madarsa collapsed completely.

In the case, SDPO DC Srivastava said that the building was demolished due to bomb blast or gas cylinder blast. Which is under examination. Banka SP Arvind Gupta said the madarsa was closed due to lockdown. There are no reports of any injuries. We fsl and bomb explosive team are being examined. The cause of the blast is being ascertained.

Superintendent of Police Arvind Kumar Gupta said that the deceased has been identified as Abdul Mobin (33) who hailed from Kalujot village under Sonrithari police station in Deoghar in neighbouring Jharkhand. He said, no casualty was reported immediately in the blast which took place around 8 am on Tuesday, but later the imam of a mosque behind the madarsa was reported injured after which he was being traced in local hospitals. Gupta said that meanwhile, at 4 pm, unidentified persons reported his body lying on a cot away from the population of Navtolia Mohalla after which police rushed to the spot and sent the body for postmortem.
