May 5, 2016: According to the official, Around  110 peoples were taken ill after they consume food at a funeral ceremony in Rupauli panchavat of Bihar’s Madhepura district.”

Sanjay Kumar Nirala, the block development officer said, “All the 110 people fell ill after eating food at a 'shhrad' (funeral function) hosted by Sukhan Sharma late last night and were brought to primary health centre (PHC) at Singheshwar”

Dr D N Chaudhary said, “The condition of the patients have improved after first-aid”

A team of doctors with ambulances have been stationed outside ward number seven to deal with any more patients there, Chaudhary added.

However, the Block Development Officer said, “ he will visit Sharma's house to gather details of the food served during the function”

He said,“food sample will be collected for examination to ascertain whether it was contaminated or not.”
