Patna: Government employees in Bihar will now have to stop wearing jeans and T-shirts in the office. In fact, the Bihar government has once again issued a reminder to government employees to follow the dress code. An order issued by the local administration said that certain officials and personnel working in the department are coming to the office in casual dress against the office culture. This is against the dignity of the office.

Instructions have been issued to all office bearers and staff posted in the department to ensure that the formal dress, which is wearable in a gentle color, dignity, comfortable society, should be in place in accordance with the weather, nature of work and the occasion.

Chief Secretary Shiv Mahadev Prasad, who issued the order, said that the workers are coming to the office in an improper dress. The letter was issued by the Department of General Administration following the order of the Chief Secretary. He said the workers would not come to the office in casual dress. The order has now been issued to the general personnel while separate orders will be issued for Group D personnel. After the administration's reminder, the entire secretariat has been rocked. The personnel of the General Administration and the Cabinet Secretariat have praised the dress code in unison.
