High Court takes tough stand on bodies floating in Ganga, asks Nitish govt for reply

Patna: The case of body being found at Ganga Ghats in Buxar district of Bihar is on the rise. The Patna High Court has now intervened in the matter. The High Court has asked the state government to respond by tomorrow. The high court is hearing the corona epidemic case. In the same episode, a bench of Chief Justice Sanjay Karol, while hearing the case, sought a response from the state government on the bodies found in river Ganga near Buxar.

The Nitish Kumar government has informed the court that it has constituted a 12-member expert committee. The Committee will provide special advice and advice to the State Government for covid management.  AIIMS counsel Vinay Kumar Pandey told the court that there is a need to provide oxygen in PHCs and referral hospitals. Patients are fleeing to Patna and other cities due to lack of oxygen.

The state government submitted a detailed report to the court. The Government has given details of action being taken to prevent corona and treat patients. The Central Government has assured to provide more oxygen to the State. The matter will continue to be heard tomorrow.
