According to Dilnawaz Ahmed, superintendent of police, Kaimur, if there is any dispute in Surrey village, people do not go round the police station and the court. All disputes are made in a Shiva temple located in the village itself. The people of this village treat Lord Shiva as a judge and settle disputes in the presence of the elderly.

Every decision to be made in this temple is accepted by all the people of the village. Villagers say that there are about 700 people living in this village. Its distance from the Mohania subdivision is about 7 to 8 km. Even after the then DM, Arvind Kumar Singh declared the village as an ideal village in 2014, there is nothing in the name of development.
