Patna: The lockdown has been extended in view of corona infection cases in Bihar. The lock-down will now continue until June 1. CM Nitish Kumar himself has informed in this regard. The lockdown in Bihar will now continue till June 1. The move comes in the wake of declining corona cases from the government. Cm Nitish has extended the lockdown for a week as the lockdown period ends on May 25. Guidelines for restrictions for the third phase of lockdown will be issued by 4 pm today. The state chief secretary, development commissioner and dgp will issue the guidelines. CM Nitish today attended the Crisis Management Group meeting and brainstormed on the current situation in Corona.
The first lockdown was implemented in Bihar from May 5 to May 15 amid the second wave of corona. The lockdown was then extended again from May 16 to May 25. In view of the decline in cases of infection, the government has decided to take it forward. The lockdown will now continue until June 1. It is yet to be ascertained which discounts will be given during this period. Guidelines in this regard will be issued soon.
